Roam & Savor
Terms & Conditions
Last updated September 10, 2026
Booking with confidence
We host just twelve travelers, and we look after every detail so you can simply enjoy the journey. Your deposit secures your place, our terms are written in plain language and meant to be fair, and travel insurance protects you if your plans change.
The full booking, payment, and cancellation details are below.
Overview
The terms “Roam & Savor,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Roam and Savor LLC, a California limited liability company operating under the name Roam & Savor, which offers and operates all the culinary journeys and other trips presented on this website.
All journeys are offered subject to the terms and conditions below. Please read them carefully before you complete your reservation. By placing a deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. We have written them in plain language and have set out the most important points clearly, including the ways our responsibility to you is limited.
Itinerary Changes
We plan every journey with great care, but travel is living and local conditions can shift. We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to a stated itinerary when we feel it is necessary or when it will improve your experience. We will always do our best to keep changes small and to preserve the spirit and quality of the journey you booked.
Prices, Deposits & Payments
Roam & Savor is a U.S. company, and we present all prices in U.S. dollars unless we state otherwise.
Your journey price is fully hosted and includes accommodations, dining as described in the itinerary, cooking and cultural experiences, tastings, guided visits, and all private ground transportation and transfers during the program. We include water and selected beverages with meals as noted in each itinerary. Airfare to and from India is not included. Prices are subject to change until your reservation is confirmed. Accommodations named in our materials are the properties we intend to use; where needed, we may substitute accommodations of comparable or superior quality.
A deposit of $2,000 per guest is required to reserve your place. Until the departure is confirmed (see Minimum Group Size below), your deposit is fully refundable. Once the journey is confirmed, the deposit becomes non-refundable, because from that point it covers the planning and booking costs we commit to on your behalf.
Because our India journeys are arranged far in advance, the balance is paid in two parts. The first installment of $4,000 is due on December 1, 2026, or 14 days after we confirm the departure, whichever is later. The final installment of $3,995 is due January 8, 2027 (about six weeks before departure).
If you book after December 1, 2026 has already passed, your deposit and the $4,000 installment are both due at the time of booking, and the balance follows on January 8, 2027. If you book on or after January 8, 2027, full payment is due at the time of booking.
We accept payments via American Express, VISA, and MasterCard either through our website or by making other arrangements directly with our office.
Minimum Group Size & Confirmed Departures
This journey runs with a minimum of 4 travelers. We will confirm the departure on or before November 15, 2026 and email you the moment we do.
If we do not reach 4 travelers by November 15, 2026, we will cancel the journey and return every payment you have made in full, including the deposit, within 10 business days. You will owe us nothing and we will not hold any part of your money. This is the one case where the deposit is refunded in full.
We may also cancel a confirmed departure in rare circumstances outside our control, such as a government travel restriction, a natural disaster, or a serious safety concern in the region. In that case we will refund every payment in full, including the deposit. In either case our responsibility is limited to refunding what you paid us, and we are not able to reimburse airfare, visa fees, or other costs you arranged yourself, which is why we require travel insurance.
Cancellations & Leaving Early
We keep each journey small, just 12 guests, so a single cancellation is felt by the whole trip and cannot easily be filled at the last minute. For this reason, please read these terms closely before you reserve.
To cancel, please email us at info@roamnsavor.com. Your cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your written notice. Refunds are based on how far in advance we receive that notice:
- Before we confirm the departure: All payments are refunded in full, including the deposit.
- After confirmation, 61 days or more before departure (on or before December 17, 2026): All payments are refunded, less the $2,000 deposit.
- 60 days or fewer before departure (from December 18, 2026): No refund is available, and all payments received are retained.
We are not able to make exceptions to this policy for any reason, including personal emergencies, which is why we require travel insurance (see below). There is no refund for arriving late, leaving a journey early, or missing any part of the program.
Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days, returned to your original payment method.
Trip Cancellation by Roam & Savor
We reserve the right to cancel a journey before it begins. If we do, you will receive a full refund of all monies you have paid to us, including your deposit. This refund is the full extent of our responsibility to you. We are not responsible for any other costs you may have arranged on your own, such as airfare, visas, or other travel expenses that cannot be recovered. This is one more reason we strongly recommend travel insurance.
Travel & Cancellation Insurance
Travel insurance is required for every guest on every journey. Because our journeys are a meaningful investment and are planned well in advance, insurance is the best way to protect yourself if the unexpected happens before or during your trip. We ask that you arrange comprehensive coverage soon after booking, including trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical care abroad, and emergency evacuation.
We do not sell travel insurance. Many credit card and insurance companies offer it, and a travel agent can help you choose a plan. You are free to use any reputable provider you prefer. For a few suggestions on where to start, see the travel insurance question on our FAQ. To compare top-rated plans in one place, you can use a marketplace such as Squaremouth or InsureMyTrip.
Eligibility
Our journeys ask guests to be in good general health and reasonably fit. Travel in India can involve walking on uneven ground and cobblestones, navigating busy markets and Old Delhi streets, climbing stairs at monuments and hotels, and full, active days. Please ask us about the specific physical requirements of your journey if you have any questions.
There is no fixed age limit on our journeys, but we expect every guest to be in good health, to bring a flexible and adventurous spirit, and to be able to keep up with the group activities described in the itinerary. Any guest under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and we accept or decline participation by minors case by case.
Release & Assumption of Risk
Travel brings rewards, and it also brings risks that differ from those at home. To join a Roam & Savor journey, we count on you to make sure you are healthy and fit, to read the information and recommendations we send, and to understand that in some places local living standards, customs, and services, including medical care, may differ from what you are used to.
By placing a deposit toward your journey, you confirm that you have no physical condition or disability that would put you or other travelers at risk. You acknowledge that travel of this kind can be physically demanding and carries the risk of serious personal injury, including the possibility of permanent disability or death, whether from accident, illness, or the actions of others. You also acknowledge other risks, such as theft, loss, or damage to property.
You acknowledge that you have chosen to join a journey organized by Roam & Savor, and that we rely in part on others, such as hotels, drivers, local guides, instructors, and hosts, to provide accommodations, transportation, experiences, and instruction. While we take reasonable care in selecting these partners, we do not guarantee their performance. If a partner fails to provide a service in a way that materially reduces the quality of your journey, our responsibility is limited to refunding the portion of your payment that reflects the part of the program that was lost or diminished.
Except as stated above, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Roam & Savor, along with its owners, organizers, sponsors, and employees, from any injury or loss caused by or resulting from the accommodations used or the partners and independent contractors engaged for your journey, unless that injury or loss resulted from our gross negligence in selecting them. This release also applies on behalf of your heirs, executors, administrators, and family members.
You confirm that you have read this section carefully, that you understand you are giving up certain legal rights you would otherwise have, and that you are entering into this agreement freely. You understand that Roam & Savor accepts your reservation in reliance on these acknowledgments.
Travel Documents & Passports
You are responsible for making sure your passport, visas, and any required travel documents are valid and in order for India and for any other country you pass through during your journey. We are glad to point you toward official resources, but the responsibility for meeting entry requirements is yours.
Travel Recommendations
From time to time we may suggest third-party services for accommodations, tours, or travel before or after a journey. These are suggestions offered to be helpful. We make no guarantee about the level of service or the experience you will receive from any third party.
Photo Release
We sometimes photograph or film our journeys for use in our marketing and on our website and social media. By joining a journey, you agree that we may use images and footage that include you for these purposes. Please let us know in writing if you would prefer that we not use images or footage of you, and we will honor your request.
Our Role and the Limits of Our Responsibility
We design and host your journey, and many of the services along the way, your hotels, restaurants, drivers, guides, and the local experiences we arrange, are provided by independent companies that we select and coordinate on your behalf. These partners are not owned or controlled by Roam & Savor. We choose them with great care, but we cannot accept responsibility for their acts, errors, or omissions, or for events beyond our reasonable control. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything arising from your journey will not exceed the total amount you have paid to Roam & Savor for it, and we will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
Conduct on the Journey
Because we travel as a small group of just twelve, the spirit of the trip depends on everyone. We ask that you treat your fellow travelers, our hosts, our local partners, and the communities we visit with kindness and respect, and that you follow local laws and customs. In the rare event that a traveler’s behavior is unsafe, unlawful, or seriously affects the experience of others, we may ask that person to leave the journey, without a refund and at their own expense for any onward arrangements.
Your Privacy
We treat your personal information with care and use it only to plan and deliver your journey and to stay in touch with you, as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. We do not sell your information.

Governing Law and Resolving Disagreements
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. We hope never to need this, but if a disagreement arises that we cannot resolve together, you and Roam & Savor agree to resolve it through binding arbitration in California rather than in court. Each of us waives the right to a jury trial and to take part in any class or representative action, and any claim must be brought within one year of the event that gave rise to it.
The Whole Agreement
These terms, together with your confirmed reservation, are the complete agreement between you and Roam & Savor about your journey, and they replace any earlier understandings. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in effect when you book is the one that applies to your booking.
Your Agreement
By reserving your place and paying your deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, including the cancellation policy above. If anything here is unclear, please ask us before you book; we are always glad to talk it through. You can reach us any time at info@roamnsavor.com.
